How to appoint us
To appoint a body corporate manager, a motion to do so must be placed on the agenda of a general meeting of the body corporate, either by the committee or an individual lot owner. If changing to a new body corporate management firm, the previous managers contract must have either expired, or have been terminated, before a newly appointed management firm can take over the role. It is possible though to pass a motion to appoint a new manager prior to an existing contract expiring, for a commencement date after the existing managers contract ends.
It is also useful for the new manager if motions to change the body corporate address for service, and to allow for the new manager to store and use the body corporate seal, are also passed at the same meeting.
A copy of the managers contract must accompany the motion to appoint them, so that all owners are given fair opportunity to read the contract and make an informed decision on that motion.
Please contact us for a copy of our contract to new enquirers to facilitate this requirement of the BCCM Act. We can also provide you with wording for the above motions if necessary.
